The Importance of paying Tithes

Although people get real skeptical when it comes to paying tithes,Being a tithes payer is extremly important. God has put a system together so that his church can be taken care of, this is further explained in Malachi 3:8-12. Notice the eighth verse, it ask the question," Will a man rob God?"Isn't it sad that some people rob God and don't think twice about it.
The only thing God ask from us is to tithe from our income. A tithe is defined as one tenth or 10% of ones income to support the church. Now we must understand that 10% should be taken from our GROSS INCOME, not our net. God wants our first fruit, he deserves that and more! The difference between CAIN and ABEL'S offerings in the Old Testament was Cain presented God with just an offering, Abel presented the firstlings of his flock. Because Abel presented God with his first he was respected by God, Cain was not.
If the government can take out  their percentage of your gross income first, Why shouldn't God get the first that he has requested? Imagine someone gives you $100.00 for no reason, would you not be thankful? That same person then ask you for $10.00, would you freely give it to them with no problem. They had just given you $100.00 it wouldn't be a problem to give them 10% because it wasn't your money to begin with, and they did not have to give it to you. Same thing with God and tithing. The money isn't yours anyway why not give him what belongs to him? You can't beat God giving no matter how hard you try. The more you give the more he gives to you.
I remember when I was young and I spent my tithes on some clothes I wanted. My car ended up breaking down the next day and I ended up spending the same amount as my tithes to get it fixed.God reminded me of what I had done and trust me, I have no problem giving him his money.
Malachi 3:9 says that you are cursed with a curse if you don't tithe.
Trust God and he will bless you. If you love God with all your heart, you won't mind giving unto him what is due to him. Don't be a theif and a robber.
Malachi 3:10 says he will open the windows of Heaven and pour you out blessings you won't have room enough to recieve.
What a Blessing.
